1. Overview

FreelancerOS is a Chrome extension designed for freelancers and independent professionals. We are committed to your privacy. This policy explains clearly what data we handle, how, and why.

Short version: We collect nothing. Your data never leaves your browser.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

FreelancerOS does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. We have no servers. We have no database of user information. We cannot see your data because it never reaches us.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All extension data is stored exclusively in your browser using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. This includes:

This data exists only on your device. Uninstalling the extension deletes all of it permanently.

4. Permissions We Request and Why

We do not request access to your browsing history, tabs, or any website content. We do not inject code into any websites you visit.

5. Third-Party Services

FreelancerOS does not integrate with any analytics, advertising, tracking, or telemetry services. No data is shared with any third party under any circumstances.

6. Pro Plan and Payments

If you upgrade to FreelancerOS Pro, payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider. Payment and billing information is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy and is subject to their privacy policy at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy. We receive confirmation that a license was purchased; we do not receive your payment card details.

7. Invoice Export

When you use the invoice export feature, a file is written directly to your local device. This export is not transmitted anywhere and is entirely under your control.

8. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time using the "Clear All Data" button in the Settings tab. Uninstalling the extension from Chrome also permanently removes all locally stored data.

9. Children's Privacy

FreelancerOS is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly handle data from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date above and note the changes in the Chrome Web Store listing.
